Fruity rum cocktail that packs a punch

My sister Dee-Dee and I love Caribbean-style rum cocktails. This one's tasty and packs a punch! (Is that why it's called "punch"?) The measurements here are for 1 cocktail. We quadruple the measurements so we both get 2 drinks. We mixed it up ahead of time so it could chill down well in the fridge since I don't like ice in my drinks. Cheers!

This stuff'll set you straight!

This huge antique stoneware pot holds almost a gallon. Everytime a new fruit ripens, you add a cup of that fruit and add a cup of 40 % rum, and 95% everclear grain alcohol, which makes more than 40% alcohol, with a half cup of sugar, and have a whole year of fruit punch ready three months after you add the last fruit. You need over 40% pure alcohol to prevent spoiling. I start higher, taking into account alcohol evaporation over time.
