As often happens, I needed to make a dish that combined both a main and a side, quick and tasty.

With store-bought pesto, this is very quick: Cook the pasta in a pot of boiling, salted water.

Cut the chicken breast into small bite-sized pieces and brown them in a nonstick skillet lightly greased with a paper towel (the pesto already has enough oil). Season with salt.

Add the pesto to the skillet and cook over medium heat while the pasta finishes cooking.

Drain the pasta and toss it in the skillet with the chicken and pesto. Serve.
