Ingredients

  1. 2 cupdry red wine
  2. 2 cupwater
  3. 1/2 cupcoarse salt (sea or kosher)
  4. 1 tbspchopped fresh rosemary leaves
  5. 1/2 cup(packed) light brown sugar

Steps

  1. 1

    Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and whisk until the salt and sugar are dissolved.

  2. 2

    The marinade will keep, covered, in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

  3. 3

    *Marinate pork or beef ribs, covered, in the refrigerator for at least 3 to 4 hours (preferably over night), then smoke or grill over indirect heat.*

  4. 4

    **This recipe makes 4 cups, which is enough for about 3 pounds of ribs.**

Some of my favorite things are family, friends, my pets, cooking, baking, football (Badger & Packer), Brewer baseball, college basketball, car racing, thrift stores, volunteering, and rummage sales. I have a 9 year old rescue dog, and 7 birds ( 6 are rescue) and they range in age from 1 year to over 19 years old. I volunteer for a dog rescue and a shelter, as well as other festivals and organizations.
