Ingredients

  1. galette
  2. 1 3/4 cupfresh blueberries
  3. 1/4 cuppowdered sugar
  4. 8 ozcream cheese
  5. 1/2 tsppure vanilla extract
  6. 1 packagespuff pastry sheets, only one sheet will be needed
  7. 2 tbspgranulated sugar
  8. 1/2 tsplemon zest
  9. egg wash
  10. 1 largeegg, beaten
  11. 1 tbspheavy cream

Cooking Instructions

    Wash and dry the blueberries.

  2. 2

    Mix room temperature cream cheese with powdered sugar, lemon zest and vanilla extract.

    Unroll one puffed pastry sheet. On a lightly floured surface roll sheet out to 10" x 10".

    Spread cream cheese mixture on the pastry leaving one inch all around uncovered.

    Place berries on top of cream cheese.

    Fold edges up over berries leaving the middle exposed. Brush egg wash over pastry edges. Sprinkle edges with granulated sugar.

    Bake on a parchment lined baking sheet in a preheated 425°F fahrenheit oven for 20-25 minutes.

    The tablespoon of cream can be substituted for egg wash on the pastry for final steps before baking.
