Ingredients

  • 2 clovegarlic
  • 1 smallonion, chopped
  • 2 sliceham (or bacon)
  • 2 cupjasmine rice
  • 2 tbspknorr suiza caldo de pollo (or chicken bouillon)
  • 2 tbsprecaito (cilantro cooking base)
  • pinchdried parsley
  • 1 envelopesazon goya culantro y achiote
  • 1 canhabichuela (pink beans, red beans)
  • 1 tbspolive oil
  • 2 tbsptomato sauce
  • 2 cupwater

Steps

  1. 1

    saute onion garlic and ham and a little bit of olive oil. Pull out of pan set aside

  2. 2

    add more olive oil and fry the rice until golden brown. add the sauteed onion, ham, and garlic.

  3. 3

    Pour 2 cups of water, tomato sauce, chicken bullion, and remaining ingredients and stir until incorporated

  4. 4

    Once everything is stirred together heat to boiling and then turn down to simmer for 15 minutes
