Ingredients

25 mins
7 servings
  1. 2 cupsmoked sausage, sliced. Abt 4 small links *I used 5 links
  2. 2chicken breasts, diced *I added these on my own.
  3. 3/4 cupchopped onion
  4. 1/3 cupchopped parsley
  5. 1 cuppasta water + 3-5 chicken bullion cubes OR 1 cup broth. *I used 1 1/2 cups water & 4 cubes
  6. 3/4 cupheavy cream *I used 1 cup
  7. 3or 4 garlic cloves, minced or chopped
  8. 2 cupsweet peppers, about 2 peppers *I used 3: red, yellow & green
  9. 1oil for cooking
  10. 1/2 cupcherry tomatoes, sliced * I did not use these
  11. 1Any seasonings of your choice to taste. I didn't feel like mine needed it but it depends on the chicken broth/ bullion cubes you use. I recommend waiting to the end for extra seasonings

Cooking Instructions

25 mins
  1. 1

Slice onions, garlic & peppers, making sure to clean out seeds. Add oil to skillet & saute on med to med low

  2. 2

Now while that cooks, you need to get the pasta started. I salt my water to prevent sticking. Also, slice up the chicken & sausage. Don't forget to occasionally stir the onion & peppers!!

  3. 3

Now add the meats to the peppers & enjoy the heavenly aroma! Heat can be raised to med-med/high. U need that chicken cooked thoroughly!

  4. 4

Once pasta is boiling & almost done, scoop out the water (unless you decide to use broth!) Pour desired amount into a bowl with bullion cubes & mash until dissolved. Add to skillet with meat & peppers.

  5. 5

Add the heavy cream to skillet & stir to blend well. Then add parsley. This will thicken slightly

  6. 6

Drain pasta & add to skillet. Gently toss & fold in.

  7. 7

Once served, you may add the tomatoes but I chose to leave those out. Enjoy!!!
