With this freshly in my belly, having made no gravy or mashed potatoes and heck, didn’t even use a fork, I am super excited about how good this country fried steak is. (I did use my fork for my salad.)I have had more than one person say they only like venison when I make it. For years I didn’t like it and now it’s all I make it seems like. I just learned how I liked it and apparently other people like it for the first time too.If you have the equipment to make cube steak, GREAT. Otherwise, pound out some steaks.

This is how my mother makes chicken fried steak. It's my brother's favorite meal he always requests for his birthday. Just crush the crackers finer than I did this time I was being lazy 😋

The shop nearby sells halved t-bone steaks only. This is more than enough to satiate, though.This recipe is for well-done steak, whose hardness corresponds to pinkie on the finger test. Please look up steak categories and finger test before cooking.

I love steak fried this way. This buttermilk is the curdled milk sold in stores, not the milk leftover after making butter. If you cannot get this type of milk, then take 4 cups of whole milk and add 1/4 cup of distilled white vinegar. Stir and let it curdle.
