Every year around this time after the grape harvest, my grandmother gives me grape molasses and always expects me to make moustokouloura to share with her! This is a wonderful recipe, and my moustokouloura always turn out soft and very flavorful!

Every year around this time after the grape harvest, my grandmother gives me grape molasses and always expects me to make moustokouloura to share with her! This is a wonderful recipe, and my moustokouloura always turn out soft and very flavorful!

In a bowl, combine the olive oil, orange juice, and grape molasses. Mix well.

Add the sugar, cinnamon, and cloves. Whisk well to combine.

Add the baking powder and baking soda, and mix thoroughly.

Gradually add the flour and knead until the dough no longer sticks to your hands.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Shape the moustokouloura cookies. They don’t rise much, so don’t make them too large or with a big hole in the center if you want them to be pretty and soft.

Bake at 340°F (170°C) for 10 minutes.
