Apple Crumble (Trifti Milopita)

A very tasty and aromatic apple pie.
A few more tips: If you don't have jam, add 1 cup sugar to the filling. I usually use quince jam, which goes really well. I've also made it with plums instead of apples, and it turned out delicious.
Steps
- 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) with convection, if available.
- 2
Beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- 3
In a separate bowl, sift 2 cups (250 grams) of the flour with the baking powder, salt, and vanilla.
- 4
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture in 2-3 batches, mixing as you go.
- 5
Grate the apples and banana using a coarse grater or a blender. Place them in a large bowl with the brown sugar, cinnamon, walnuts, and jam. Mix until well combined.
- 6
Grease and flour a baking pan well. Spread 2/3 of the dough evenly in the pan. Set aside the remaining dough, add the reserved 1 cup (125 grams) flour, and knead until it forms a crumbly, chunky texture.
- 7
Spread the apple mixture evenly over the dough in the pan.
- 8
Top the apple mixture with the dough crumbles, spreading them evenly over the surface.
- 9
Bake in the preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 50-60 minutes.
- 10
Once baked, let the apple crumble cool, then dust with powdered sugar.
- 11
Good luck!
