My innovative idea at it's best. Chana chaat is already a hit and if it is made with sprouts, then it becomes a smash hit. Isn't it friends? Well ! This is exactly what happened to it. It almost disappeared in flat 10 minutes of time at a tea party for just womenfolk of my building. It tastes so delish. Tangy , spicy and perfect for a kitty party too. Enjoy this super awesome chaat in this lovely weather at tea-time. Hot and spicy extravaganza is what I call it. And the best part is that it is made in a microwave.

Ingredients

15 minutes
5 servings
  • 2 cupsBlack chickpeas or kala chana sprout
  • 1 tspSalt
  • 2 tbspChana masala
  • 1 tbspred chilli flakes
  • 2onions finely chopped
  • 2cucumbers finely chopped
  • 2tomatoes finely chopped
  • 1 tbspChaat masala
  • 3 tbspcoriander leaves chopped
  • 2 tbspLemon juice
  • 1/8 tsp asafoetida
  • 2 tbspoil
  • 2 tbspfinely chopped green chillies

Steps

15 minutes
  1. 1

    Soak them overnight and then wrap them up in a wet cloth and place them on the kitchen counter for about 2 to 3 days. Sprouts are ready.

    Heat oil in a microwave safe bowl along with the asafoetida.

  3. 3

    Add the sprouts to it along with the spices excluding the veggies and the chaat masala. The sprouts does not take much time to cook since they are already well soaked and done.

    Mix well. Cover and allow it to cook for about 3 minutes on HIGH. After 3 minutes, remove and stir once and then microwave again for about 3 more minutes.

  5. 5

    After done, add in the veggies. Give it all a good mix.

  6. 6

    Sprinkle chaat masala on top and squeeze some lemon juice.

  7. 7

    Adjust salt according to taste. Serve this chana chaat hot and enjoy with family and friends.
