Chicken Kulumbu

Chicken curry is a common delicacy in Indian stews. We the Indians cook a lot as our celebrations and festivities starts and ends with food. So, today's recipe is my dry chicken Kulambu recipe, a South Indian Kozhi Kulumbu. Kulumbu means curry in Tamil. This delicious chicken Kulumbu which is easy to make is as on demand of my son who likes South Indian food. This is the simplest one which end result with each of the ingredients make the curry taste so exotic.

Wash half kg of chicken pieces.

In a grinder make a paste of 1 big onion 1 inch of ginger 1 full garlic 1 tomato

Keep 1 big onion chopped.

Now heat a kadai with oil.

Temper mustard seeds in it. Add the chopped onions, whole pepper 6-7 and 7-8 curry leaves in it.

Sauté it till the onions are soft. Add the paste made in the grinder and cook for sometime.

Add the chicken pieces in it and sauté them for 4-5 min. Pour 2 tsp of curd.

After that add 2 cups of water and boil in middium flame.

Let it cook for 8-10 min covering with a lid and become a gravy or dry masala chicken curry.

Serve hot with plain rice or parathas.
