Ingredients

  • 4chicken thighs with skin and bone
  • 1 tablespoonpaprika
  • 2 tablespoonsvegetable oil
  • 3/4 poundsmall red-skinned potatoes, halved
  • 8boiling onions, peeled
  • 2large carrots, peeled, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 tablespoonall purpose flour
  • 1 cupcanned low-salt chicken broth
  • 1/2 cupdry white wine
  • Chopped fresh parsley

    Sprinkle chicken on all sides with paprika, salt, and pepper.

  2. 2

    Heat oil in heavy large skillet over medium-high heat.

  3. 3

    Add chicken and sauté until brown, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer chicken to plate.

  4. 4

    Add vegetables and stir 2 minutes. Sprinkle vegetables with flour and stir to coat.

  5. 5

    Gradually stir in broth and wine; bring to boil, stirring frequently.

  6. 6

    Return chicken and any juices to skillet; bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low.

  7. 7

    Cover and simmer until chicken is cooked through, about 30 minutes.

  8. 8

    Season with salt and pepper.

  9. 9

    Sprinkle with parsley.
