Ingredients

  1. 1 pkgmild or hot Italian sausage
  2. 6 stripsbacon, cooked and chopped
  3. 32 ozchicken stock
  4. 1yellow onion chopped
  5. 4garlic cloves minced
  6. 3Russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  7. 1yellow onion chopped
  8. Salt/pepper
  9. 16 ozheavy cream or less
  10. Baguette
  11. 3 cupschopped kale cut into bite size pieces
  12. 1-2 tablespoonsugar (depending on your liking)

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Fry bacon, drain, chop and set aside.

  2. 2

Saute sausage until brown. Drain 90% of the oil. Add pan back to stove and add onions to the sausage. Stir together.

  3. 3

Add garlic at the end. Now here is where I add everything to a crock pot. Next I pour in my chicken stock and place on "High". Add salt, pepper, and sugar to crockpot mixture.

  4. 4

    Cook until potatoes until tender.

  5. 5

Pour in cream.... I went full throttle...Live a little! Followed by adding the chopped bacon.

  6. 6

Add kale and cook another 30 minutes on "Low"

  7. 7

The bomb with baguette! Add Parmesan cheese over top of individual bowls. The best soup I've ever eaten!
