Ingredients

  1. 11/2 cupsflour
  2. 1 cupsugar
  3. 1/2 cupmargarine
  4. 2eggs
  5. 2 tspbaking powder
  6. 2 tspvanilla essence
  7. 1 cupmilk

Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare baking tin and set aside.Preheat your oven to 180 degrees celcius

    Measure all your ingredients.sift the flour and baking powder mixed together onto a medium bowl and set aside.

    In another bowl mix sugar and margarine using a mixer cream for 5 minutes until pale.

  4. 4

    Beat 2 eggs in a bowl and add to the creamed mixture.cream for a minute then beat the rest of the eggs in a bowl and add to creamed mixture add vanilla essence and continue creaming.

    Fold in flour alternating with milk,first put half of the flour,fold in add some milk and fold in,then rest of the flour until you can't see any flour or evenly mixed.

  6. 6

    Pour the batter into the cake pan and place it in the oven to bake for 30 minutes and check if it passes the skewer test.

    Let it cool for 10 minutes then serve with hot coffee.
