Ingredients

12 servings
  1. 1 lbsHamburger
  2. 1 cloveGarlic (minced)
  3. 1 TbspWhole Basil
  4. 1 1/2 tspSalt
  5. 2 cupsCanned Tomatoes
  6. 2-6 ozcans Tomatoe Paste
  7. 10 ozLasagna Noodles (about 9)
  8. 3 cupsRicotta or Creamy Cottage Cheese
  9. 1/2 cupParmesan Cheese
  10. 2 TbspParsley Flakes
  11. 2Eggs (beaten)
  12. 2 tspSalt
  13. 1/2 tspPepper
  14. 2 cupsMozzarella Cheese (Shredded)

Steps

  1. 1

    Brown hamburger and spoon off excess fat.

  2. 2

    Add next 5 ingredients. Simmer uncovered for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. 3

    Cook noodles in salt water until tender. Drain and rinse.

  4. 4

    Combine remaining ingredients except mozzarella cheese.

  5. 5

    Layer noodles, ricotta/ cottage cheese mixture, mozzarella cheese, hamburger mixture in 3 layers.

    If freezing: stop here and wrap in tin foil. When ready to cook, thaw and follow below cooking time.
    Can also refrigerate and cook later.

  6. 6

    Bake at 375° for 30 minutes. If frozen or refrigerated: 45-55min Let stand for 10 minutes prior to cutting.
