Ingredients

  1. Filling
  2. 2pre-made pie crust (enough for top and bottom)
  3. 1 tbspall purpose flour
  4. 3/4 cupsugar
  5. 16 ozjar of apple sauce
  6. 1 tspground cinnamon
  7. 1 tbsplemon juice
  8. 3 1/2 cupdiced and peeled cooking apples (most varieties will work just fine
  9. 2 tbspbutter
  10. Crunch Topping
  11. 1 tbspbutter
  12. 3 tbspflour
  13. 1 tbspsugar

Steps

    preheat oven to 425ºf

  2. 2

    Line pie pan with the first pie crust

  3. 3

    In a large bowl, mix together flour, cinnamon, sugar, applesauce, and apples

  4. 4

    Fill lined pie pan with apple mixture

  5. 5

    place dabs of butter on top of pie mixture

  6. 6

    place top pf pie crust on top in any way you would like making sire there are at least some slits for steam to escape

  7. 7

    Make crunch topping by combining flour, sugar, and butter, until a crumbled texture

  8. 8

    Sprinkle crunch mixture on top of pie

  9. 9

    Place pie in oven for 10 min, then lower temperature to 350ºf and bake for an additional 45 minutes or until crust is golden brown.

    Set out to cool
