Ingredients

  • 1 largeOnion
  • 3 canTomato paste
  • 2 lbFavorite sausage (I like andouille)
  • 3 cupWhite long grain rice
  • 3 cupWater
  • 1Salt, pepper, and garlic powder
  • 1Handful of parsley or so
  • 1 stickCelery

Steps

  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350

  2. 2

    Slice sausage and onions

  3. 3

    In a Dutch oven add all ingredients, mix well so that the tomato paste is well blended, and cover

  4. 4

    Bake until rice in tender I check after the first 45 minutes, stir and place back in oven

  5. 5

    Some times you need to add another 1/2 cup of water but not always

  6. 6

    If your rice ever comes out too mushy when baking jambalaya try uncovering it for a little while
