Steps
- 1
Place a light layer of olive oil in a bowl. Toss dough in until it is completely covered in olive oil. Place plastic wrap around and let rise for 1.5 - 2 hours or more in a room temperature room.
- 2
Place warm water in a bowl. Add active dry yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes or until dissolved. If not dissolved after 5 minutes stir slightly.
- 3
Mix in flour, salt, sugar, and olive oil. Knead until completely smooth.
- 4
After it has risen, press it down into the bowl to remove some air.
- 5
Cute the dough into 2 equal parts and form them into balls. Place each ball into its own bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Let rest for another 10 minutes.
- 6
Place pizza stone in over at 450. Let it heat for 30 mins to an hour.
- 7
On a clean, flat work surface, place a light coating of flour. Knead and stretch the dough to desired thickness and shape.
- 8
Brush top with a light coat of olive oil.
- 9
Add tomate sauce, then cheese, then any desired toppings.
- 10
Put corn meal on the pizza stone.
- 11
Put pizza in the oven on the pizza stone for 12-15 mins.
- 12
Remove and serve.
