Ingredients

  1. 500 Gramsspinach
  2. 2medium sized Potatoes cut into small pieces
  3. 3Tomato puree made of three medium sized tomatoes
  4. 2Medium sized onions - finely chopped
  5. 1 Tspcoriander powder
  6. 1 Tspred chilli powder
  7. 1/2 Tspturmeric powder
  8. 1/2 Tspgaram masala powder
  9. to tasteSalt
  10. 1/2 Tspcummin seeds
  11. 1 Tbspginger garlic paste
  12. 1finely chopped green chilli
  13. 2 Tbspoil

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat a pan on a medium flame and add oil

    - When hot - add cumin seeds and give it a mix

  2. 2

    Now add onions and saute until it turns brown

    - Add ginger garlic paste and stir for a minute

  3. 3

    Add tomato puree and mix well with the onions

    - Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric 

  4. 4

    Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder and salt as per taste

  5. 5

    Mix until it combines well the onions and tomato puree

    - Cover it with a lid and let it cook for 2 minutes

  6. 6

     Now add green chillies and potatoes and mix well

    - Add 1/2 glass water and cover it with a lid and let it cook for 5 - 7 minutes

  7. 7

    The potatoes are semi cooked - now add spinach

    - Cover it with a lid again and let it cook for a minute

  8. 8

    Lift the lid - now mix the spinach with the potatoes

    - Cover it with a lid again and let it cook on medium flame for a 10 minutes

  9. 9

    The potato spinach vegetable is ready 

    - Turn off the flame and remove it in a serving dish

    - Serve hot with roti or paratha
