Ingredients

10 servings
  • 1 stickbutter
  • 16 ozsmoked sausage
  • 1 1/2 cuponion
  • 2 tbspflour
  • 2 cupbeef broth
  • 1 canbeans
  • 1 candiced tomatoes
  • 1 cantomatoe sauce
  • 1 cancorn
  • 1bay leaf
  • 1red pepper flakes to taste
  • 2 tbspbrown sugar
  • 1salt to taste

Steps

  1. 1

    cut smoked sausage in bite size pieces

  2. 2

    Brown sausage and add butter

  3. 3

    Melt butter and add onion

  4. 4

    Sprinkle flour and stir to thicken

  5. 5

    add broth, spices and rest of ingredients

  6. 6

    simmer one hour

  7. 7

    Serve over rice
