Ingredients

  1. 25 gmsAll purpose flour / maida
  2. 200 gmsMawa /whole dried milk
  3. 200 gmsSugar
  4. 50 gmsWater
  5. 1/4 tspCardamom powder
  6. 1 pinchSaffron / kesar
  7. 100 gmsClarified butter / ghee

Steps

  1. 1

    Take a bowl add mawa / whole dried milk and all purpose flour / maida and mix well.

    Add one tbsp water and make a soft dough.

    Make an equal size balls.

    Flatten the balls into thin round like puri.

    Heat clarified butter / ghee in a pan.

    Add malpua,lower the heat and fry till light brown.

  7. 7

    In another pan add sugar and water till sugar disolves.

  8. 8

    Add saffron and cardamom powder.

  9. 9

    Bring into two sting consistency.

  10. 10

    Soak the malpua in the sugar syrup.

  11. 11

    Shahi malpua is ready to serve.
