Ingredients

  1. 1 tbspButter or lard
  2. 2/3 cupChopped onion
  3. 2 tbspFlour
  4. 1 1/2 cupChicken or Vegetable Broth
  5. 1 cupChopped Green Chile (May add more)
  6. 1 cloveGarlic, finely minced
  7. 3/4 tbspSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat.

  2. 2

    Sauté the onion until soft.

  3. 3

    Stir in the flour.

  4. 4

    Add the broth.

  5. 5

    Then add the green chiles, garlic and salt.

  6. 6

    Simmer for 20 minutes.
