Season filets with salt and garlic.

In a small bowl mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until the sugar is dissolved.

Put salmon and marinade into a plastic bag for 2 hours.

Preheat grill on medium heat.

Lightly oil the grate and of place the salmon on the grill. Cook 6 to 8 minutes on each side or until fish is flaky.
