Mix the first 6 ingredients.

Marinate halibut in a zip top bag with enough marinade to coat the fish. Expel air and marinade for 1/2 hour.

Place fish in a lightly greased dish and bake at 400°F for 20 minutes.

Spoon marinade over fish part way through cooking.

Or BBQ on a hot grill, brushing throughout cooking with marinade.

For a sauce, mix pan juice. Add more marinade if needed with cornstarch and cold water. Bring to a boil and serve over fish. For a single serving, as little as 1-teaspoon cornstarch will thicken the sauce.
