Cook Pasta, bring 3 quarters of water to boil with some salt. Follow instructions on package of Fettuccine

Sauce: Place saucepan on medium heat, add butter to melt, add shallots and garlic let sweat for a minute, add cream, season with salt and pepper, cook for 4 minutes, do not burn cream.

Drain pasta with colander, place back into saucepan on medium heat, pour cream over pasta, then add parmesan and season with salt and pepper.

Add parsley if want to garnish
