Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 1rack of ribs
  2. 2 tbspBBQ Dry Rub
  3. 1 tspsalt
  4. 1/2 tspground pepper
  5. 1 tspcinnamon
  6. 1 cupchicken broth
  7. 1/2 cupReduced Sugar Tomato Ketchup (for sauce)
  8. 2 tspLiquid Smoke (for sauce)
  9. 2 tbspWorcestershire Sauce (for sauce)
  10. 1/4 cupWater (for sauce)
  11. 1/4 cupCoke Zero (for sauce)
  12. 1 tbspgarlic powder (for sauce)
  13. 1 tbsponion powder (for sauce)
  14. 1 pinchground cloves (for sauce)
  15. 2 tbspHot Sauce (for sauce)

Steps

    Mix the dry rub, cinnamon, pepper, and salt together, then spread over the top of the rack of ribs.

    Add the chicken broth to the bottom of the crock-pot. Cut the rack into pieces that will fit into your slow cooker.

    Place the ribs into the slow cooker, close the lid, and let the ribs cook on slow for at least 6 hours.

  4. 4

    About 45 minutes before you’re ready to eat, it’s time to make the barbecue sauce. Combine all of the ingredients except for the Coke Zero into a sauce pan and heat on high heat until it starts to bubble. Add in the Coke Zero and turn the heat down to medium. Allow to simmer for 15 minutes. This allows the water to evaporate and the sauce to thicken a bit.

    Once the sauce is ready, pour the chicken broth out of the crock pot and pour the sauce over the top of the ribs in the slow cooker. Close the slow cooker again and let the meat continue to cook for another 30 minutes.
