Ingredients

  1. 4 cupwater
  2. 1 tspsalt
  3. 2 clovegarlic pressed
  4. 1 cupgrits
  5. 12 ozblock cheese
  6. 1/2 cupbutter
  7. 1 tsppepper
  8. 1 tspworchesershire
  9. 1/4 tsptabasco
  10. 3 largeeggs lightly beaten
  11. 1paprika

Steps

  1. 1

    Bring water, salt, and garlic to a boil in a saucepan.

  2. 2

    Gradually stir in grits. Return to boil and reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes stirring occasionally or until thick.

  3. 3

    Add cheese, butter, pepper, worchesrshire, and tabasco stirring until cheese melts.

  4. 4

    Remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes.

  5. 5

    Stir in eggs and pour into lightly greased 11x7. Sprinkle with paprika and bake at 350°F for 1 hour or until set.
