Ingredients

  1. 2bundles of coco yam leaves (kontomire) or spinach
  2. 4 mediumsized tomatoes
  3. 2 largeonions
  4. 1 lbmeat or tripe, cooked
  5. 8 ozsmoked fish
  6. 8 ozagushi
  7. 2dessertspn. dried ground shrimp
  8. 1palm oil
  9. 1 clovegarlic salt, pepper and ginger to taste
  10. 1 mediumkpakpo shito or hot pepper

  1. 1

    Cut meat into pieces, wash and season with a bit of salt, garlic and ginger.

  2. 2

    Place in a cooking pot a put it on the fire, bring to the boil and cook till tender

  3. 3

    Grind pepper and tomatoes and slice the onions.

  4. 4

    Pick, wash and chop the kontomire or spinach leaves.

  5. 5

    Heat oil in a saucepan. Fry onions and pepper for 2 minutes, add dried ground shrimps and tomatoes.

  6. 6

    Cook for another 10 minutes. Add meat with the stock. Prepare and add fish, stir and allow to simmer for a few minutes.

  7. 7

    Add the agushi mix with water and kpakpo shito. Add the chopped leaves when the agushi is cooked and simmer for about 5 minutes.

  8. 8

    Serve hot with boiled plantain, yam, rice, coco yam, etc.
