  1. 1 cupPlain flour
  2. 1 cupRolled oats
  3. 3/4 cupCoconut
  4. 140 gramsbutter
  5. 3 tspGolden syrup
  6. 3 tbspboiling water
  7. 1 tspbaking powder

    Sift flour into bowl.

  2. 2

    Add rolled oats , coconut sugar.

  3. 3

    Melt butter in a saucepan, add syrup and water.

  4. 4

    Add soda, allow to foam and pour immediately into dry ingredients.

  5. 5

    Mix well then take small pieces of mixture and press out thinly on to greased tray, allowing space for the biscuits to spread a little.

    Bake in a slow oven as they burn easily.
