Steps

Preheat oven to requirements on whole chicken. Follow instructions and pay attention to cook time (plus 20 minutes rest at room temperature)

Roast Potatoes/ Veg - begin with 70 minutes remaining. Cut potatoes with skin on, boil water and simmer for 2 mins, rough up in colander. Peel carrots and parsnips. Season with salt and pepper and olive oil. Cook in roasting tray for 50 mins.

Mash potato - start with 50 mins left. Boil water, add salt and peeled, finely cut potatoes. Boil for 30 mins, drain when potatoes are softened. Add butter/ milk and mash.

Peas - start with 15 mins left. Follow instructions.

Yorkshire puddings - start with 10 mins left. Follow instructions.
