Ingredients

  1. for the pakodi
  2. 1raw mango peeled and grated
  3. 3/4 cupyellow moong dal, soaked for 2 hours
  4. 1 tbspginger-green chilli paste
  5. 2 tbspcoriander (dhania) leaves
  6. 1 1/2 tspsugar
  7. 1/4 tspbaking soda
  8. oil for deep frying
  9. to tastesalt
  10. ForMango Paani
  11. 1ripe mango pulp
  12. 1/2raw mango peeled and chopped
  13. 2 1/2 glasseswater
  14. 1 tspchaat masala powder
  15. 3/4 tspblack salt powder
  16. 3/4 tsproasted cumin seeds powder
  17. 1 tspgreen chilli paste
  18. 3/4 tspginger paste
  19. few mint leaves finely chopped
  20. 2 tspsugar
  21. to tastesalt

Steps

  1. 1

    For the pakodi
    Drain the soaked yellow moong dal and blend in mixer along with ginger-green chilli paste. Add the remaining ingredients mix well. Heat oil in a kadai, drop small spoonfuls of the dal mixture and deep-fry till golden brown in colour. Keep aside.

    Boil raw mango pieces in enough water, cool and blend to a fine puree in a mixer.Transfer the raw mango puree into a deep bowl, add the remaining ingredients and mix well.Taste and adjust the seasonings.

    Add fried pakodis to the paani and keep refrigerated for 1-2 hours to chill.

    Serve Chatpatta Mango Paani Pakodi chilled.
