Ingredients

  • 300 gramschicken liver
  • as neededOil
  • 1 stickcinnamon
  • 2 piecesclove
  • 3 piecescardamom
  • 1/2 cupthinly sliced onion
  • 4smashed cloves of garlic
  • 1sliced tomato
  • 1/4 tspturmeric powder
  • 1 1/2 tspchilli powder
  • to tasteSalt
  • to tasteSugar
  • 1 pinchgaram masala

Steps

  1. 1

    Heat the oil in a deep pan

  2. 2

    Add the cinnamon, clove and cardamom

  3. 3

    Add the onion and saute it till the onion becomes translucent

  4. 4

    Sprinkle a little water and add the smashed cloves of garlic and the tomato

  5. 5

    Saute for about 2 minutes then add the turmeric, chilli powder and salt

  6. 6

    When the masala is properly mixed, put in the pieces of liver and add a little water

  7. 7

    Saute it till the masala is blended with the pieces of liver

  8. 8

    Then add water and cover the pan with a lid

  9. 9

    Leave it for sometime, stirring it occasionally.

  10. 10

    When the liver is is cooked and the gravy is thick and dry, add sugar and a pinch of garam masala

  11. 11

    Stir it one final time

  12. 12

    Serve
