Ingredients

  1. 1/3 cupvery warm water
  2. 1 envelopeactive dry yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  3. 5 tbls+ 1/4 tsp sugar
  4. 11/3 cupwarm whole milk
  5. 1large egg.slightly beaten (room temp)
  6. 5 tblsbutter, chopped and softened
  7. 4 cupsall purpose flour (may need more)
  8. honey butter
  9. 4 tblsbutter softened
  10. 3 tblshoney
  11. 3 tblsconfectionery sugar

Cooking Instructions

    In a small bowl add warm water, sprinkle in the yeast and 1/4 tsp sugar. (90<120 degrees)

    Stir gently until combined and let rest for 10 minutes until foamy. (No foam, yeast is DEAD, START AGAIN)

    In a large bowl add 5 tbls sugar,warm milk, egg, salt, and butter with yeast mixture. Mix well until combined.(pinch of salt)

    Gradually add flour, mixing well until all flour is used (it will be sticky)

    Transfer dough to a large greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm draft free area for 2 hours or until it doubles in size.

    Grease knuckles and punch down the dough, transfer the dough to a floured surface, add just enough flour to handle it without sticking to your hands.

    Divide into 2 equal balls, roll into 2 13 inch circles.slice like a pizza, brush with butter and honey then rolling starting with the wide end.

    Place rolls on a greased cookie sheet, pointed tip tucked under, cover with plastic wrap and place in a warm place for an 1 hour or until doubled in size.

    Remove plastic and bake at 375* for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden.

    Brush with butter and honey and enjoy
