1chicken cut into pieces or 2.2 pounds (1 kg) chicken breast fillet cut into pieces
2-3 tablespoonsflour
1/2 cupolive oil
6ripe tomatoes
2medium onions, finely chopped
1 clovegarlic, finely chopped
2/3 cupdry white wine
1/2 teaspoonthyme
1bay leaf
10large basil leaves
1 teaspoonsugar
1 teaspoonred pepper
salt
pepper
1 cuphot water

1.1 pounds (500 grams)pasta (your choice)

Heat the oil in a pot. Coat the chicken pieces with flour and sauté them...

...until they are nicely golden on both sides.

Add the onion and garlic, stir for 3-4 minutes until softened, then deglaze with the wine.

Add all the remaining ingredients except the basil and simmer for 30 minutes, ensuring the sauce thickens. At 25 minutes, add the basil.

Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to the package instructions, and once the chicken is ready, serve hot...and enjoy!!
