Ingredients

15-20 mins
  • 125g/4oz self raising flour.. Sifted
  • 1 tspbaking powder
  • 125 gramsbutter, soft and unsalted
  • 125 gcaster sugar
  • 2eggs
  • 1-2 tbspmilk(if needed)

Steps

15-20 mins
  1. 1

    Prep your ingredients and preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Line your tray with your cupcake casings

  2. 2

    In a bowl, mix sugar, baking powder eggs, butter in a bowl. Use a hand mixer or whisk till well incorporated. The mixture should be pale and soft.

  3. 3

    Add in your flour in bits till the batter has a smooth consistency.

  4. 4

    Pour the batter into the cupcakes casings and let them bake for 15-20 mins or till they turn golden brown

  5. 5

    Let them cool on the wire rack before decorating them with some whipping cream and sprinkles

Made this recipe definitely recommended. I was scared that the cupcakes wouldn't rise but they rose rapidly just like I wanted. Had to do it twice though because it only made 4. Topped it with pink icing and colorful sprinkles 💝. 😊 also didn't take long to bake. Left them in the fridge for the icing will harden and I can't wait to try !!
