Ingredients

  1. 1whole chicken, cut into quarters
  2. 2medium potatoes, diced
  3. 1/4green bell pepper
  4. 1onion
  5. 1tomato
  6. 2 tablespoonsolive oil
  7. 1 tablespoonmushrooms
  8. 1 tablespooncorn
  9. 1 tablespoontomato paste
  10. 1 tablespoonsalt
  11. 1 tablespoonKuwaiti spice mix
  12. 1 tablespoonblack pepper
  13. 1 tablespoonmixed pepper

Steps

  1. 1

    Season the chicken with olive oil and spices. For best results, let it marinate overnight.

  2. 2

    Heat the tagine pot on the stove, then sauté the onion and vegetables. Add the chicken, cover with aluminum foil, and bake in the oven for 45 minutes.

  3. 3

    Make a dough by mixing flour, salt, and water. Knead until smooth, then roll it out and cover the clay pot after everything inside is cooked.

  4. 4

    Return to the oven and bake until the dough is golden brown. Open the pot and serve with white rice or bread, as desired.
