Ingredients

  • 10dark orange carrot
  • 1 litremilk
  • 100 gmskhoya
  • 3Cardamon powder
  • 3 tbsGhee
  • 150 gmscut mix dry fruits(almonds, pistachios and raisins)
  • 100 gmssugar(you can increase/decrease quantity as per taste)
  • 4-5threads of zafraan

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash & clean the carrot. Trim the edges and peel the skin. Now grate them to shreds.

  2. 2

    Heat a big non stick vessel or pan and put the shredded carrot, add milk and let it start boiling

  3. 3

    Let it cook for over 45 mins on low flame and add the mix dry fruits before the milk completely dries off.. keep stirring

  4. 4

    Once the milk has almost dried, add ghee and start stirring the halwa and let it fry until it changes colour

  5. 5

    Now add khoya and keep stirring

  6. 6

    Lastly add sugar and zafraan, keep stirring until you see the ghee on the sides of the pan.

  7. 7

    Garnish with khoya & nuts and serve
