Chocolate chip cookies

Hello another cheeky little treat for you all... Cookies!! I can't resist them. This is a basic recipe which I have done with chocolate chips this time, but you could use anything like nuts or smarties. These are perfect with a cup of tea or a glass of pimms.

Hello another cheeky little treat for you all... Cookies!! I can't resist them. This is a basic recipe which I have done with chocolate chips this time, but you could use anything like nuts or smarties. These are perfect with a cup of tea or a glass of pimms.
Steps
- 1
Preheat the oven to 170C.
- 2
Whisk the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- 3
Add the eggs and vanilla extract then mix well until fully incorporated.
- 4
Next add the flour, salt, bicarbonate of soda and mix until a smooth dough forms.
- 5
Split the dough mix in half and divide between two bowls. Add the dark chocolate to one bowl and the white chocolate to the other. Stir both mixtures until the chocolate is spread between each dough.
- 6
Prepare a baking tray lined with baking paper and make roughly 12 cookies out of each dough mixture. make the cookies by rolling a small handful of dough between your hands and placing on the baking tray, then press down lightly to flatten. leave space between each cookie as they will spread in cooking.
- 7
Bake the cookies for roughly 10 minutes until flat and golden on the edges. Leave the cookies to cool and then enjoy. They should be soft and chewy.
