Ingredients

  1. 8 ozcans of diced tomatoes (2)
  2. 4large fresh tomatoes (optional)
  3. 8 ozcan tomato pasta sauce
  4. 8 ozcan chickpeas
  5. 8 ozcan kidney beans
  6. 8 ozcanned corn
  7. 1red onion finely diced
  8. 1 tbspfresh minced garlic
  9. 6fresh basil leaves
  10. 1 tbspchili pepper flakes
  11. 1 dashground black pepper
  12. 1 pinchsea salt or pink Himalaya salt
  13. 1 cupwater (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    Mix ingredients (besides herbs, spices and water) in slow cooker.

  2. 2

    Dice basil leaves, and add to slow cooker.

  3. 3

    Add a dash of pepper and a pinch of salt to slow cooker.

  4. 4

    Stir and add 1/4 cup of water to slow cooker at a time until you reach desired consistency.

  5. 5

    Let chili cook on high for 2-4 and up to 8 hours, enjoy!
