This is one of my favorite cakes and it’s absolutely delicious.

Mix the dry ingredients together well.

These are the sugar, ground almonds, cinnamon, and lemon zest.

Lightly beat the eggs; do not overbeat.

Combine the eggs with the sugar, almonds, lemon zest, and cinnamon. Mix everything together until well blended.

Pour the mixture into a baking pan lined with parchment paper and greased with butter. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (180°C) for about 40 minutes. Check doneness by inserting a toothpick—if it comes out clean, the cake is ready.
