Ingredients

2 Persons
  1. 140 gmMinced Chicken
  2. 1 tbspchopped Ginger
  3. 1 tbspchopped Garlic
  4. 1 tspchopped green chilli
  5. 2 tbspchopped spring onions
  6. 1 tbspchopped chives
  7. 1 tspchopped coriander
  8. 1/2 tspblack pepper
  9. 1/2 tspRed Chilli Powder
  10. 1 tbspSoy Sauce
  11. 1 tbspRice Bran Oil
  12. 1 tspRice Vinegar
  13. 2 tbspHoney
  14. 1/2 tspAjinamoto (Mono Sodium Glutamate)
  15. 2/3 tspSalt or as per taste
  16. 800 mlwater
  17. 1/4 cuplong grain Rice presoaked for 1 hour
  18. ----------------------------------------
  19. Service Gears:
  20. 1Bamboo basket (10" size) for steaming
  21. 1Banana Leaf for lining
  22. 1Nonstick Wok with lid for steaming water
  23. 1plate for spreading rice
  24. 1medium bowl for mixing
  25. 8toothpick sticks

Steps

  1. 1

    In a medium bowl, add all thr ingredients except rice and water.

  2. 2

    Let the mix marinate for 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Line the Bamboo Basket with Banana Leaf and set aside.

  4. 4

    Heat 800 ml water in wok till it bubbles. Keep it covered with lid.

  5. 5

    Roll out 8 equal pieces of the chicken mix.

  6. 6

    Spread the presoaked rice over a plate and roll the chicken Balls over it firmly and place on the Banana leaf lined in the Bamboo Basket. Keep a little space for allowing expansion of rice.

    Push in 1 toothpick stick in each dumpling to help pick up after cooking.

  8. 8

    Place the Bamboo Basket in the warm water wok and cover it with lid.

  9. 9

    Steam the basket for 20-25 minutes or till the rice is steamed well.

    After 20-25 serve the Dumplings immediately with Oriental Sauce/Dip/Momo Sauce or just have it without anything.
