For khichdi

Put a pan on the flame, add some oil, cumin seeds, cloves, pepper corn, elaichi, bay leaves, cinnamon stick and let it splatter. Add in some onion into it and cook it until it become light pink in colour then add ginger-garlic paste and cook it until it's raw smell is gone the add turmeric powder and cool it well

Add curd into it and let it cook for sometime until it leave the sides of the pan. Then add in the soaked rice and red lentil into and mix it properly.

Add water as per the requirement then add salt chopped green chilli, mint and coriander leaves and let it cook until it's nicely done.

After that add some ghee onto it and mix it well and serve it with khatta

For khatta

Put a pan on the flame add chopped onion, tamarind pulp, chopped mint and coriander leaves, ginger-garlic paste, grind sesame seeds, salt and add in some water and let it boil for 5-10 minutes

Temper it well and for that put some oil, cumin seeds, slit green chillies into a pan and prepare a temper and add that into your khatta.

Your Hyderabadi Khichdi with khatta is ready to serve.
