Ingredients

  • 10-12fresh curry leaves
  • 1/2 cupbesan /gram flour
  • 1/4 tspred chilli powder (adjust to taste)
  • 1/4 tspfreshly pounded coriander seeds
  • 1/4 tspcumin seeds
  • 1 pinchbaking soda
  • to tasteSalt
  • as neededWater
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 2 teaspoonsRice flour
  • 2-3chopped onions
  • 2-3green chillies

Steps

  1. 1

    Wash and cut the curry leaves.Chop Onions,green chillies.

  2. 2

    Using a pestle and mortar or a spice grinder, coarsely grind or pound the coriander leaves.

  3. 3

    Mix together in a bowl – besan, rice flour,coriander seeds, chopped curry leaves,onions,chilli powder, and salt
    Add enough water to make a thick batter and mix thoroughly.

  4. 4

    Add the baking soda to pakoda batter and mix again.

  5. 5

    Heat oil in a pan and drop in pakodas by using the hand.
    Deep fry and transfer into a paper towel.

  6. 6

    Serve hot with Sauce and Chutneys.Very crispy and tasty.
