Ingredients

8-10 mins
6 servings
  1. 5-6medium size potatoes boiled and smashed
  2. 1/2 tspchaat masala
  3. 1/2 tspturmeric powder
  4. 1 tspkashmiri red chilli powder
  5. 1/2 tsproasted jeera powder
  6. 1/8 tspasafoetida
  7. 1/2 tspkitchen king masala
  8. to tasteSalt
  9. 10medium sized raw papad
  10. For slurry:
  11. 3 tbspcorn flour
  12. 1/2 cupwater
  13. Oil for deep frying

Steps

8-10 mins
  1. 1

    In a mixing bowl take the smashed potatoes, chaat masala, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, asafoetida, kitchen king masala and salt.

  2. 2

    Mix everything properly and make 8-10 small balls from the mixture.

  3. 3

    Mix water and cornflour in a bowl, add pinch of salt, the slurry is ready.

  4. 4

    Crush the raw papads into small pieces with hands only, spread out in a dish.

  5. 5

    Now dip the potato balls in the slurry and coat them with crushed papad.

  6. 6

    Now fry these papad coated potato balls on low flame.

  7. 7

    Serve the papad potato pops with ketchup or green chutney.
