Ingredients

  1. 2 1/2 cupall purpose flour
  2. 3small eggs
  3. 1 tsporange zest
  4. 1/3 cupsqueezed orange juice
  5. 1 tspbaking powder
  6. I tsp vanilla essence
  7. 1/4 tspsalt
  8. 1/2 cupsugar
  9. 1/2 cupbutter

Cooking Instructions

    Separate yolks from the egg whites and keep aside separately

    Sift flour and baking powder

  3. 3

    Add salt and mix

  4. 4

    In a separate bowl add butter and sugar and mix till creamy

  5. 5

    Add egg yolks one at a time beating thoroughly.Add the squeezed orange juice

  6. 6

    Add flour mix and orange zest and mix till well absorbed

  7. 7

    Beat egg whites till frothy

  8. 8

    Add a third of whites to the batter add mix gently

  9. 9

    Add 1/2 of the whites and continue mixing

  10. 10

    Add the rest of the whites and mix gently till absorbed.

  11. 11

    Put the batter in your greased tin and bake.
