Cookie Monster Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies - Trying a New Recipe

There are many types of cookies in the cookie world :D
There are Crispy, Chewy, Soft, Thin, Thick, Big, Small.. haha.. Personally, I'm a huge fan of soft and chewy cookies, even the thick ones! #oldfavorite
This time, I wanted to try a recipe from Craftycookingmama.com. Anyway, it turns out she got this recipe from a Cookpad US member named Sarge. I checked, and many people have tried it and succeeded :)
I want to be one of the recookers too.. haha
UNIQUE, unlike other chewy cookie recipes that require the dough to be chilled for at least 1-3 nights, this recipe can be baked right away :)
I've tried it in 2 ways according to my own method:
# Method 1: I chilled it overnight, and before baking, I put the dough balls in the fridge along with the baking sheet for about 1 hour. The result: Plump and I love it so much :)
# Method 2: Baked immediately, the result is also good.. but the cookies are flatter and bigger (especially since I used an ice cream scoop, they turned out like Cookie Monster's cookies)
My child prefers this one.
In the end, it all comes down to taste and situation! haha
Let's go (I've converted from cups to grams)

Steps

20 minutes
  1. 1

Beat the sugar and butter until fluffy, reduce speed, add the egg and mix until just combined, then add the vanilla extract and mix well.

  2. 2

Sift the flour, salt, and baking soda, then mix with a spatula until just combined. Add the chocolate chips and mix well.

  3. 3

You can chill the dough in the fridge overnight, or you can bake it right away for this recipe. But you have to work quickly before the dough melts.

  4. 4

Shape into balls. I prefer using an ice cream scoop; the cookies have more texture but are very large :D

  5. 5

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, just until the bottom is golden and the edges start to brown while the center is still soft. Let them cool; if you wait for the cookies to harden completely before removing them, they will fail.

  6. 6

Hmmmm, dip in milk for extra deliciousness :) let's go

  7. 7

Hhmm, the cookies are thick :) love it

  8. 8

Soft, one bite is never enough!

  9. 9

I included the result of baking immediately after mixing. They turned out flatter, but still delicious and time-saving :D
Made them at night, so the photos are dark..
