Cookie Monster Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies - Trying a New Recipe

There are many types of cookies in the cookie world :D
There are Crispy, Chewy, Soft, Thin, Thick, Big, Small.. haha.. Personally, I'm a huge fan of soft and chewy cookies, even the thick ones! #oldfavorite
This time, I wanted to try a recipe from Craftycookingmama.com. Anyway, it turns out she got this recipe from a Cookpad US member named Sarge. I checked, and many people have tried it and succeeded :)
I want to be one of the recookers too.. haha
UNIQUE, unlike other chewy cookie recipes that require the dough to be chilled for at least 1-3 nights, this recipe can be baked right away :)
I've tried it in 2 ways according to my own method:
# Method 1: I chilled it overnight, and before baking, I put the dough balls in the fridge along with the baking sheet for about 1 hour. The result: Plump and I love it so much :)
# Method 2: Baked immediately, the result is also good.. but the cookies are flatter and bigger (especially since I used an ice cream scoop, they turned out like Cookie Monster's cookies)
My child prefers this one.
In the end, it all comes down to taste and situation! haha
Let's go (I've converted from cups to grams)

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Beat the sugar and butter until fluffy, reduce speed, add the egg and mix until just combined, then add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- 2
Sift the flour, salt, and baking soda, then mix with a spatula until just combined. Add the chocolate chips and mix well.
- 3
You can chill the dough in the fridge overnight, or you can bake it right away for this recipe. But you have to work quickly before the dough melts.
- 4
Shape into balls. I prefer using an ice cream scoop; the cookies have more texture but are very large :D
- 5
Bake for 12 to 15 minutes, just until the bottom is golden and the edges start to brown while the center is still soft. Let them cool; if you wait for the cookies to harden completely before removing them, they will fail.
- 6
Hmmmm, dip in milk for extra deliciousness :) let's go
- 7
Hhmm, the cookies are thick :) love it
- 8
Soft, one bite is never enough!
- 9
I included the result of baking immediately after mixing. They turned out flatter, but still delicious and time-saving :D
Made them at night, so the photos are dark.. - 10
Jumboooo.. like Cookie Monster's
- 11
Hey moms.. They look similar, right? Jumbo.. haha..

Soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies Soft and chewy chocolate chip cookies
These cookies are soft and chewy but still have that cookie 'crisp' you expect and they stay that way! I always remove my cookies around 8 minutes and press the tops down with a spoon! Keeps them from being too puffy.Tip: make sure the egg is at room temperature, it makes a difference! I always set mine out when I lay my butter out to sit hbrookie -

These cookies are like mint chocolate chip ice cream in a cookie! Cook them just until set for an amazing chewy cookie, add a few minutes more if you prefer them crisp. They freeze great so can be made in advance, just cool completely and individually wrap. fenway -

Darn Good Chocolate Chip Cookies Darn Good Chocolate Chip Cookies
I've tried many chocolate chip cookie recipes and I have found that my preference is for a cookie that is crispy around the edges, is chewy in the center, and is not too flat. This recipe fills the bill. I think that the addition of lemon juice has something to do with this. Don't worry, you won't taste the lemon. I've also specified Hershey's chocolate chips instead of Nestle's chocolate morsels. You can use the Nestle's if you have them, but try to give the Hershey's chips a try. I really like their flavor better. Adam Janowski -

Coconut Chocolate Chip Cookies Coconut Chocolate Chip Cookies
I was given a container of coconut oil and really was not sure what to try it in first. Cookies seemed a natural choice for the flavor, adding some coconut flakes and mini chocolate chips. The coconut flavor is mild and delicate, the cookie soft and slightly chewy in the middle with slightly crisp edges. Compared to a cookie with butter, they are lighter in color and have a softer texture and delicious delicate coconut flavor.. fenway
