Ingredients

  1. 1 cupghee
  2. 1 cupcaster sugar
  3. 3/4 cupplain flour
  4. 3/4 cupwheat flour
  5. 1/4 cupsemolina
  6. 1/4 cupchickpea flour
  7. 1/4 tsp.Baking Soda
  8. 1/4 tsp.Cardamom Powder
  9. 1 pinchSalt
  10. 2 tablespooncocoa powder
  11. Chocolate buttons
  12. 1/2 tsp.Baking Powder

Steps

  1. 1

    In a bowl beat ghee and caster sugar until light and fluffy and pale in colour.

    In a bowl mix all the other ingredients together.
    Now mix the wet and dry ingredients together and form a dough. Add cocoa powder and mix well. Refrigerate dough for 20 minutes.

    Roll the dough into ball-like shapes with the dough. Roll the dough in round shape and make design using a bottle lid of any bottle. Make shape of a moon all the way around and place them on lightly greased cookie sheet.
    Place the chocolate button on top and press in lightly.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for around 12 to 15 minutes until lightly brown.

Hi all, my name is Rekha. I am Indian by birth, born in Uganda, East Africa, I now live in Wilby, Northamptonshire/England.I retired at the age of 60 due to severe arthritis. I am married, a mother and grandmother.I learnt to cook from my parents at a very young age of seven. I started to cook simple dishes for the family and gradually learnt how to cook. My mum use to cook at our shop where we sold Indian sweets and savouries. I have learnt a lot from my mum. I started cooking fusion dishes and learning from others. My strong point is making sweet dishes and innovating new dishes. I can improvise and be creative in leftover dishes.I love being on Cookpad because I can share and learn new recipes. I have also made a lot of friends.
