Ingredients

4 servings
  • 500 gmbutton mushrooms washed in turmeric water and 4 part cut
  • 2chopped onions
  • 4 cloveschopped garlic
  • 1 inchchopped ginger
  • 2crushed green chillies
  • 1 tablespoonsesame seeds
  • 1 teaspoonPoppy seeds
  • 7-8almonds
  • 10-12 cashew nuts
  • 1 teaspoonblack pepper powder
  • 1 teaspoongaram masala powder
  • 1/2 tea spoonturmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoonchopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tablespoonbutter /oil for cooking
  • 1 teaspooncrushed kasuri methi
  • to tasteSalt

Steps

  1. 1

    First make paste of onion, green chilli ginger and garlic in a blender and keep aside.

  2. 2

    Next in a same blender jar make a paste of the almost, cashew nuts and Poppy seeds add little water to make smooth paste keep this aside.

  3. 3

    Take a heavy bottomed pan add a teaspoon of butter add the onion paste and saute until the raw smells of the onions go away.

  4. 4

    Add black pepper powder and garam masala powder and saute it nicely.

  5. 5

    Add mushrooms sprinkle some salt and turmeric powder and mix it well.

  6. 6

    When whole water of mushrooms evaporate add almond and cashew paste into the mushroom and add one glass of water and mix it well and cover the pan. (if required more water depending on u)

  7. 7

    Once gravy starts to thicken turn off the heat. Stir it. Add chopped coriander leaves and serve with rice and roti.
