Cut the leftover besan chilas into strips or squares. Keep them aside.

Now heat oil in a pan. Put hing in it. Add chopped onion and sauté till translucent.

Now add ginger and garlic paste and cook till raw smell goes. Put onion paste and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Now add all the dry masalas and stir it for a while. Add tomatoe puree to the cooked masala and cook it till oil separates.

At this point,add 1/2 cup of water and bring it to a boil. Add salt and mix it well and then add pieces of besan cheela and cover the pan with a lid and let the cheelas absorb the spicy liquid for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat, check the seasoning and serve hot with parantha or chapati.
